Behind The Stream: Video CAN Make You $300 Million

One of the most common misconceptions we see regarding video is that views = success.

Let’s stop that line of thought right now because we can prove otherwise.

One of our very own clients didn’t go viral. He didn’t pour money into ads. He just showed up every week with thoughtful, consistent, video content.

His videos earned him what he describes as a multi-million dollar relationship.!

Beth: This is just a great example of the power of video.

So, Matt Guarino, with Powerful Homes, has created a video series where he puts something out weekly, they’re in podcast form and in video form, and he’s big on what we also believe
in is staying top of mind, having consistent content, showing value without really
asking for anything.

Just showing up and giving people something that obviously showcases you’re the expert or what have you, but he did a really great job of that. And Matt’s audience is very niche. He’s trying to target people that are
interested in real estate investing.

Somebody in Omaha found his videos, loved him, loved his Ethos, loved who he was, and ended up selling Matt a bunch of houses, you know, basically created what Matt calls a $3 million partnership, a $3
million relationship because she got to know Matt through these consistent videos he
put out that showed who he was, showed the kind of work that they do.

Basically he didn’t need a million video views, he needed this one person to make all of that worth
it times 10.

So what I love about this story is that when you’re thinking about creating videos and it feels like, oh, what’s the ROI or how do I get more views on this? It’s not about quantity, it’s about quality, especially if you are doing something big that is not for everyone.

And views are a vanity metric anyway. Are people compelled to take action. That’s the real thing you should care about in the videos you’re making for your business. And so Matt was just a perfect example of this. We love him, we love working with his videos, but this shows exactly that it’s just the one right person is better than a million wrong.
